2SC2482 Transistor Explained / Description:
2SC2482 is an NPN transistor available in TO-92L or TO-92MOD package. This transistor is basically designed for Color TV applications but rather than that it can also be used for high voltage switching and amplification purposes. This max voltage load this transistor is capable to drive is 300V and the max load current it can handle is 100mA. The minimum saturation voltage or the base voltage on which this transistor will switch ON is 1.0V and to drive 10mA load base current should be 1mA and for max output current which is 100mA the base current should be 10mA. The max collector dissipation is 0.9 Watts and the DC current gain of the device is from 30 to 150. The transistor is available in two different gain classifications that can be checked by looking at the first alphabet below its part number. If that alphabet is “O” then the gain will be 70-120 and if it is “Y” then the gain will be 120-140.
The transistor is available in two gain categories, which can be determined by looking at the first alphabet below the part number, if the alphabet is “O” the gain will be 30-90 and if the alphabet is “Y” the gain will be 90-150.

How to Safely Long Run in a Circuit
For long life performance this transistor should be used 20% below from its absolute maximum ratings. The collector current of the transistor is 100mA therefore do not drive load of more than 80mA and the max collector to emitter voltage is 300V therefore do not drive load of more than 240V. Always store or operate the transistor in temperature above -55 degree centigrade and below +150 degree centigrade.
