2N5771 Transistor Pinout, Features, Equivalent, Applications and More
2N5771 is a PNP bipolar junction transistor available in TO-92 and SOT-23 package. It is designed for very high speed saturated switching applications and also has low voltage requirements which also makes it ideal to be used in portable, low voltage and battery operated applications for modern digital and analog electronics. This article explains 2N5771 transistor pinout, equivalents, features, specification and more.
2N5771 Pin Configuration:
Pin1 is the Emitter pin: In a PNP transistor the Emitter pin is always connected with the positive supply of the circuit. The current enters in the transistor through this pin.
Pin2 is the Collector pin: The Collector pin is the output pin of the transistor, the current exits from this pin and goes to the connected load.
Pin3 is the Base pin: The Base pin is connected with the base region of the transistor, which is in the middle of emitter and collected regions. The base region controls the flow of current between emitter and collector.

2N5771 Short Description:
2N5771 is a low voltage bipolar junction PNP transistor designed for high speed saturated switching, which is ideal for modern digital and other applications. Very high speed saturated switching means that the transistor has a special capability as compared to other fast switching transistors, which do not get fully ON and OFF during high speed switching. However, the 2N5771 has the capability of saturated switching, allowing it to get fully ON and fully off multiple times within nanoseconds or during high speed switching. The maximum collector-emitter voltage of the transistor is 15V, which makes it ideal for use in low voltage, portable and battery operated applications. The maximum collector current is 200mA, which is enough to drive a variety of loads. It has low leakage current, which improves its performance.
The transistor is ideal to use in digital and in other applications where there is a need for a transistor that makes the load fully ON and OFF at high speed. Moreover, it can also be used many other applications and the full list of its applications is mentioned under the Applications heading below.
