IRFZ24N MOSFET Explained / Description
IRFZ24N is an N channel MOSFET manufactured in TO-220 package. The transistor is designed to use in wide variety of general purpose applications. The MOSFET features high speed, low on resistance capabilities and provides safety against the unexpected voltage spikes of transient voltages of upto 2kV. The transistor can drive max load of 17A with the load voltage of upto 55V and also capable to drive load of 68A in single pulse. All the above features makes this MOSFET ideal to use in applications such as for high speed switching requirements, power supplies etc.
Other than that this device can also be used as a separate amplifier and also in high power audio amplifier stages.
Where We Can Use it & How to Use
IRFZ24N MOSFET is designed to use in high speed switching applications therefore it can be used in any switching application where high speed is crucial such as in a UPS circuit. How to Safely Long Run in a Circuit
To get long term and stable performance with IRFZ24N always use in 20% below from its maximum ratings. The maximum continuous drain current of the transistor is 17A therefore do not drive load of more than 13.6A, the max drain to source voltage is 55V therefore do not drive load of more than 44V. Use a suitable heatsink with the transistor and always store or use this transistor in temperature above -55 degree centigrade and below +150 degree centigrade.
