IRFB4110 Transistor Explained / Description:

The transistor has many features and benefits such has it has better gate, better dynamic dv/dt ratings, fully characterized capacitance etc.

Looking at the other capabilities, the transistor possesses high switching speed which makes it ideal to use in applications where high speed switching is an essential requirement. The maximum continuous drain current of 180A also makes it an ideal MOSFET to use in applications where the designer wants to drive high amount of load. Moreover the maximum junction temperature of 175°C makes it capable to deliver more power when its temperature is high as compare to low temperature MOSFETS.

Safe Operating Guidelines / Absolute Maximum Ratings:

Follow these operating guidelines to get long term performance with IRFB4110 MOSFET. First of all do not use the transistor to its absolute maximum ratings and always use it 20% below from its absolute max ratings. The maximum continuous drain current is 180A, therefore do not drive load of more than 144A, the maximum drain to source voltage is 100V so do not drive load of more than 80V. Use a suitable heatsink with the transistor and always store or operate the transistor at temperature above -55 ° C and below +170 ° C.
