IRF3205 MOSFET Explained / Description:

IRF3205 is a MOSFET transistor capable of driving the load of upto 110A with max voltage of 55V. It is an N channel transistor available in TO-220 package. This transistor can be used for both switching and amplification purposes. It is a high speed switching transistor hence can be used in applications which require high speed switching of load from one input source to another and the minimum voltage require for saturation is 2V to 4V. It is also capable to drive a load of upto 390A in pulse mode. Moreover when used as an amplifier it is capable to deliver upto 200 Watts due to which it is also an ideal transistor to use in high power audio amplifiers.

How to Safely Long Run in a Circuit:

To get good long term performance from a component we always suggest using it atleat 20% below from its maximum ratings. Same goes with IRF3205 transistor. The max load voltage is 55V to get good performance do not exceed the load voltage from 44V DC. The maximum continuous drain current is 110A therefore do not drive load of more than 88A. Use a proper heatsink with the transistor and always store or use this device in between temperature from -55 centigrade to +175 centigrade.
