IRF1404 MOSFET Explained / Description
IRF1404 is an N channel MOSFET manufactured in TO-220AB package. The transistor is having features such as advanced processing technology, fast switching speed, ultra low on resistance etc. These features make the device extra stable and increase its reliability to use it in variety of different applications. The device is capable to deliver upto 162A current in continuous load driving and upto 650A in pulse mode. Other than that the transistor max power dissipation is upto 200W hence it can also be used as an audio amplifier and also in audio amplifier stages.

How to Safely Long Run in a Circuit
For long term performance we suggest to use this MOSFET atleast 20% below from its maximum ratings. The maximum continues drain current is 162A therefore do not drive load of more than 129A. The maximum drain to source voltage is 40V therefore do not drive load of more than 32V. Use a suitable heatsink with the transistor and always store and operate the device in temperature above -55 degree Celsius and below +175 degree Celsius.
