The pin configuration of the transistor are as follows:
The first pin of the transistor is base, second pin is collector which is also connected to its mounting base and the third pin is emitter.
Looking at the absolute maximum ratings of the transistor the collector-emitter voltage is 400V, collector-base voltage is 500V, collector current is 15A, emitter-base voltage is 7V, base current is 5A, collector power dissipation is 80W, junction temperature is 150°C and storage temperature is from -65°C to 150°C.
2SC3320 is designed to be used in inverters, regulators, ultrasonic generators and other general purpose applications. The detailed list of its applications is mentioned below under “Applications” heading below.
How to Use This Transistor:
To use the transistor the signals that you want to amplify must be applied to its base, emitter pin will be connected to the negative rail of the circuit and get amplified output from collector in case you are using it in an amplifier circuit or drive load through its collector.
Applications:
Switching Regulators
High frequency inverter
Battery Management Systems
PWM Circuits
Switching Regulators
Audio Amplifier Stages
DC to DC Converters
Ultrasonic Generators
Inductive Load switching
Switching load of up to 15A
Safe Operating Guidelines:
Here are some important guidelines to safely operate the transistor.
- Do not use the transistor to its absolute maximum ratings and always stay 20% below from these ratings.
- Always use a suitable heatsink with the transistor.
- Always Store and operate at temperature above -65°C and under +150°C.
