2SC3263 Transistor Explained / Description:
2SC3263 is an NPN transistor designed to be used in audio applications and also in general purpose applications. The transistor has high collector-emitter voltage, good collector current, collector power dissipation of upto 130 Watt and junction temperature is 150°C and storage temperature is from -55°C to 150°C.
Now looking at the absolute maximum ratings of the transistor the collector-emitter voltage is 230V, continuous collector current is 15A, collector-base voltage is also 230V, emitter-base voltage is 5V, continuous base current is 4A, collector power dissipation is 130W and storage and junction temperature is from -55°C to 150°C.
The transistor is available two different hFE classification and can be determined with the help of the alphabet written on the transistor after the part number.
As mentioned above the transistor is designed to be used in audio and general purpose applications such as switching, RF circuits etc. The detailed list of applications can be found below.
Where and How to Use This Transistor:
To use the transistor apply signal to its base, connect emitter pin to the negative rail of the circuit and get amplified output from collector in case you are using it in an amplifier circuit or drive load through its collector.
Applications:
Audio Amplifier Circuits
Battery Management Systems
DC to DC Converters
Inductive Load switching
Audio Amplifier Stages
Switching Regulators
PWM Circuits
Switching load of up to 15A
Safe Operating Guidelines:
Here are some important guidelines to safely operate the transistor.
- Do not use the transistor to its absolute maximum ratings and always stay 20% below from these ratings.
- Use a suitable heatsink with the transistor.
- Before placing the transistor in your circuit or design.
- Always Store and operate at temperature above -55°C and under +150°C.
