2SC1061 is a NPN power transistor available in TO-220 package. The transistor is designed to be used in low frequency power amplifiers. A low frequency power amplifier is an application that is specially designed to amplify signal of low frequencies for example from 20Hz to 20KHz. These type of amplifiers are mostly used in audio amplification systems and can also be used many other applications.

Looking at the absolute maximum ratings of the transistor collector-emitter voltage is 50V, collector-base voltage is also 50V, continuous collector current is 3A, peak collector current is 8A, emitter-base voltage is 4V, continuous base current is 0.5A, power dissipation is 25W, junction temperature is 150°C and storage temperature us from -55°C to 150°C.
