Some of its features are good collector current, up to 140Mhz transition frequency, max DC current gain of up to 246, availability of PNP complimentary, etc. All these features make this transistor a reliable general purpose transistor that can be used wide variety of applications.

The absolute maximum ratings of the transistor are as follows: collector-emitter voltage is 30V, collector current is 500mA, collector-base voltage is 40V, emitter-base voltage is 5V, collector power dissipation is 625mW, junction temperature is 150°C and storage temperature is -55°C to 150°C.

The transistor is designed to be used in switching and other general purpose applications such as amplifiers, preamplifiers, RF circuits etc. The detailed list of its applications can be found below under the Applications heading.

KTC9013 is available in 6 different versions according to its DC current gain or hFE. After the part number you will find an alphabet code which shows the DC current gain value of the transistor. Here are the alphabetic codes and their meaning.

D= 64-91

E= 78-112

F=96-135

G=118-166

H=144-202

I= 176-246

How to Use This Transistor:

KTC9013 is a bipolar junction transistor so the using procedure is same as we use any other NPN BJT. By connects the emitter with the ground or negative rail of the circuit. Applying signal to its base pin and receiving output from its collector.

Applications:

Sensor Circuits

RF Circuits

Audio Amplifiers

Signal Amplification

Audio Preamplifiers

Darlington Pairs

Switching loads under 100mA

And more…

Safe Operating Guidelines:

To safely operate the transistor do not drive it to its absolute maximum ratings and always stay at leat 20% below. Check pinout before use and the temperature should be between -55°C to 150°C.
